This one off terrarium is planted with Leaucobryum moss and landscaped with lava rock. It depicts a cougar family relaxing outside a cave.
To care for this terrarium keep the bun moss moist (not wet) and ensure the lid is removed from time to time to allow fresh air inside. The moss doesn’t have any roots and gets its water from the air so regular misting is important.
The moss performs best under bright light but keep it well out of direct sun as this will act like a greenhouse and can kill the plants inside. Behind a net curtain is perfect (I fully acknowledge no one has these anymore) so let it see as much of the sky as possible but please don’t let it sit in the sun! Additional lighting is ideal and grow lights can be purchased inexpensively from Amazon or a reptile shop.
