These terrariums are planted with Leucobryum glaucum (moss), Selaginella uncinata, Ficus columbia, Pilea depressa, Pilea glauca, Peperomia prostrata and Begonia schultzei.
Place in a bright spot out of direct sunlight. The plants are tolerant of lower light levels but they will not like being placed in shade (a good rule of thumb is to let them see as much of the sky as possible without sitting in direct sunlight).
It is absolutely vital not to overwater a terrarium as the water has nowhere to escape to and can result in root rot. For these Large Jar Terrariums, I advise watering them with a spray bottle on a mist setting. You can use a pipette/syringe to be more precise.
I advise using distilled/deionised/rain water when watering as these are pH neutral and will not leave a stain on the glass. Brita filtered water is a suitable alternative. Tap water tends to contain minerals which will leave a stain on the glass.
When watering, keep a close eye on the substrate to ensure it doesn’t become sodden.
